What would it be like to buy a Cocktail in the Fallout Universe? Spoiler Alert

The Date is 8/21/2288 Let's say you are in Fallout and you walk into a bar. Depending on which Fallout Title you find yourself in the alcohol selection and cocktails may change. I'm going to list cocktails that would still be possible to make in Post-Apocalyptic America along with their Availability and Price in Caps. And thanks to [dwill2168] from GameFAQs I will also be providing a price in USD. [dwill2168] was able to find the value of a Cap in USD (2009) 1 Cap = .69 cents & 1 Dollar = 1.44 caps. This will help show you how the value of each cocktail has changed in Post-Apocalyptic America.
1. Nuka-Ria a. Red Wine Glass (No Ice) b. Use Diced Mutfruit & Tarberries instead of Ice c. Fill 2/3rds with Red Wine d. Top with 1/3 Nuka-Cola Orange e. Garnish with 3 thin slices of Mutfruit <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas Sarsapa(gria) Alternative: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout 4: 8 Caps | $11.52 Fallout 76: 11 Caps | $15.84 Fallout 76: Blackberry Alternative: 12 Caps | $17.28
Info: The Nuka-Ria and Sarsapagria are the Post-Apocalyptic versions of the Sangria. It seems that Post-Apocalyptic America is severely lacking citrus fruits like Oranges, Lemons, Limes, Grapefruits, Pineapples etc. So Nuka-Orange or Sunset Sarsaparilla was used in place of the Orange Juice and Lemon Lime Soda. Peaches were replaced by Tarberries or Barrel Cactus Fruit and Mutfruit can be used if you don't have any Fresh Apples. If you're visiting Appalachia you can also substitute the Tarberries for Blackberries.
1. Sarsapagria (Alternative) a. Red Wine Glass (No Ice) b. Use Diced Fresh Apple & Barrel Cactus Fruit instead of Ice c. Fill 2/3rds with Red Wine d. Top with 1/3 Sunset Sarsaparilla e. Garnish with 3 thin slices of Fresh Apple (Description: This cocktail should appear Yellow-Orange in appearance with the skins of the diced red apple pieces being semi-visible)
2. Whiskey & Water a. Small Rocks glass (With Ice) b. Add 2oz Whiskey c. Top with Purified Water <> Fallout 3: 3 Caps | $4.32 Fallout 3: "Dirty Whiskey" Alternative: 3 Caps | $4.32 Fallout 3: Aqua Pura Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout New Vegas: 3 Caps | $4.32 Fallout New Vegas Dixon's Whiskey Alternative: 5 Caps | $7.20 Fallout New Vegas: "Dirty Whiskey" Alternative: 3 Caps | $4.32 Fallout New Vegas: "Dirty Dixon" Alternative: 3 Caps | $4.32 Fallout 4: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 4: Bourbon Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout 4: "Dirty Whiskey" Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout 4: "Dirty Bourbon" Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout 4: "Drugged Whiskey" Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout 4: "Drugged Bourbon" Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout 4: Aqua Pura Alternative: 1 Cap | $1.44 Fallout 4: Aqua Pura & Bourbon Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout 4: Institute Water Alternative: 3 Caps | $4.32 Fallout 4: Bourbon & Institute Water Alternative: 3 Caps | $4.32 Fallout 76: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 76: Bourbon Alternative: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 76: "Dirty Whiskey" Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout 76: "Dirty Bourbon" Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout 76: "Whiskey & Toxic" Alternative: 1 Cap | $1.44 Fallout 76: "Bourbon & Toxic" Alternative: 1 Cap | $1.44
Info: Due to the lack of ingredients in the wasteland, Whiskey & Water might have gained some popularity. This cocktail is cheap yet refreshing since it comes with Ice. However, cocktails that come with ice will be much less accessible to those living in the wasteland since it requires electricity to make. Ice-based cocktails will probably only be available to purchase in major cities like New Vegas, Vault City, Diamond City, Megaton, Good Neighbor and even some of the larger settlements of the wasteland. Some cocktails will use nicknames based on their ingredients like a "Drugged Whiskey" which uses Drugged Water and Whiskey as it's main ingredients.
3. The Washington Apple a. Cocktail Glass (No Ice) b. Add 1.3oz of Whiskey to Cocktail Shaker c. Add 1.3oz of Mutfruit Schnapps to Cocktail Shaker d. Add 1.3oz of Cranberry Juice to Cocktail Shaker e. Add Ice Shake and Pour f. Garnish with a slice of Mutfruit <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: N/A Fallout 4 Tarberry Juice Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout 76: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout 76 Tarberry Juice Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96
Info: Notice Fallout 4 can only make an alternate version of The Washington Apple using Tarberry Juice. Sure it costs more and you might even soak up a few Rads, but most would agree that the taste of Tarberries is much better than Cranberries.
4. Bloody Larry a. Cocktail Glass (With Ice) b. 1.5oz Vodka c. 0.5oz Brahmin or Bighorner Bouillon d. Top with Homemade Clamato or Tato Juice e. Garnish with a Carrot stick <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: 11 Caps | $15.84 Fallout 4: 14 Caps | $20.16 [Add Bacon for 1 Cap | $1.44] Fallout 76: 11 Caps | $15.84
Info: The Bloody Larry is similar to a Bloody Mary. Unfortunately the cocktail is quickly going out of style in the wasteland due to the extinction of Tomato's (and Potatoes) in 2287. People were then forced to switched to the mutated hybrid Tato. Tato now fills the role of Tomato's and Potatoes for most of the eastern United States making the Bloody Larry possible to make still but the cost is steep. The Bloody Larry got it's name in New Vegas sometime after The First Battle of Hoover Dam. A seemingly wealthy man by the name of Larry had taken up residence in the Gomorrah. Larry quickly became a frequent customer at the Brimstone Bar where he could always be found drinking a Bloody Mary. Well one day before Larry had arrived for his usual, a mysterious man in a long trench coat was at the Brimstone having a drink. Upon Larry's arrival The Mysterious Stranger jumped up out of his chair, pulled out a Revolver and shot Larry dead. It was unclear why The Mysterious Stranger killed Larry as he seemingly disappeared in the commotion that ensued after Larry was shot. However things quickly came to light once Larry's personal items were recovered. Wedding rings, lockets, pocket watches and more all matched the descriptions of missing persons from a once occupied town a few miles south of New Vegas. Since the incident, the cocktail has forever been referred to as the Bloody Larry. However, if you were to visit New Vegas today you may notice that the Bloody Larry no longer contains Tomato. But due to it's popularity the casinos of New Vegas have done everything in their power to try to mimic the Bloody Larry with new ingredients. Although most agree it just doesn't taste the same.
5. Blackberry Lemon Drop a. Cocktail Glass (No Ice) b. Add 2oz of Vodka to Cocktail Shaker c. Muddle Blackberries in Cocktail Shaker d. Add 2oz of Lemonade to Cocktail Shaker e. Add Ice, Shake and Pour f. Garnish with Blackberries on a toothpick <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: N/A Fallout 4: N/A' Fallout 76: 5 Caps | $7.20
Info: The Blackberry Lemon Drop is similar to the Blueberry Lemon Drop. However, because there are no Lemons for trade, Lemonade must be purchased from Mr. Squeeze. Ironically, it doesn't contain any Lemons as Mr. Squeeze says he uses alternate ingredients to make it taste like lemonade.
6. Mut-Berry Martini a. Cocktail Glass (No Ice) b. Add 3oz of Vodka to the Cocktail Shaker c. Muddle Tarberries in Cocktail Shaker d. Add 1oz of Mutfruit Schnapps to the Cocktail Shaker e. Add Ice, Shake or Stir & Pour f. Garnish with a slice of Mutfruit <> Fallout 3 "Mutfruit Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout 3 "Apple Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout 3 "Pear Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout New Vegas "Mutfruit Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout New Vegas "Apple Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout New Vegas "Pear Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout New Vegas "Prickly Pear Martini" Alternative: 5 Caps | $7.20 Fallout New Vegas "Barrel Cactus Fruit Martini" Alternative: 8 Caps | $11.52 Fallout New Vegas "Banana Yucca Fruit Martini" Alternative: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout New Vegas "Mojave Martini" Alternative: 11 Caps | $15.84 Fallout 4: 12 Caps | $17.28 Fallout 4 "Mutfruit Martini" Alternative: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 4 "Melon Martini" Alternative: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 4 "Tartini" Alternative: 12 Caps | $17.28 Fallout 4 "Gourds & Cream Martini" Alternative: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout 76: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout 76 "Mutfruit Martini" Alternative: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 76 "Melon Martini" Alternative: 3 Caps | $4.32 Fallout 76 "Tartini" Alternative: 5 Caps | $7.20 Fallout 76 "Cranberry Martini" Alternative: 5 Caps | $7.20 Fallout 76 "Gourd Spice Martini" Alternative: 8 Caps | $11.52 Fallout 76 "Pumpkin Spice Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout 76 "Blackberry Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout 76 "Starlight Martini" Alternative: 9 Caps | $12.96 Fallout 76 "Mothman Martini" Alternative: 11 Caps | $15.84
Info: Martinis will still be a thing in Post Apocalyptic America. However with Vermouth being impractical to make and hard to find, you will have to say goodbye to the Classic Martini. Only flavored Martinis will be available in the wasteland. For those visiting New Vegas, if you didn't like the new version of the Bloody Larry you should consider trying a Mojave Martini before leaving town. If anyone out there truly loves Martini's I highly recommend you visit Appalachia. That region is home to a large variety of fruits making it a perfect place to drink some Martini's.
6. Mojave Martini (Alterative) a. Cocktail Glass (No Ice) b. Add 1oz of Vodka to the Cocktail Shaker c. Muddle Prickly Pear Flesh in Cocktail Shaker d. Add 1oz of Barrel Cactus Schnapps to the Cocktail Shaker e. Add 1oz of Banana Yucca Fruit Schnapps to the Cocktail Shaker e. Add Ice, Shake or Stir & Pour f. Garnish with a Prickly Pear Wheel (Description: This cocktail's appearance will be dominated by the muddled prickly pears, appearing Purple-Red in color. The prickly pear wheel garnish should be Green, showing off the White-Yellow insides with the seeds)
6. Pumpkin Spice Martini (Alterative) a. Cocktail Glass (No Ice) b. Add 2oz of Vodka to the Cocktail Shaker d. Add 1oz of Pumpkin Schnapps to the Cocktail Shaker e. Add 1/2oz of Cream to the Cocktail Shaker e. Add 1/2oz of Pumpkin Puree to the Cocktail Shaker e. Add Ice, Shake & Pour f. Garnish with Homemade Whipped Sweet Cream topped with a pinch of Spices (Description: The Pumpkin Spice Martini should resemble pumpkin pie with an Opaque Orange color topped with Homemade Whipped Sweet Cream and Spices)
6. Mothman Martini (Alterative) a. Cocktail Glass (No Ice) b. Add 1.5oz of Vodka to the Cocktail Shaker c. Add. 1oz Starlight Fruit Schnapps to the Cocktail Shaker d. Add 1oz of Firecracker Fruit Schnapps to the Cocktail Shaker e. Add 1/2oz Lemonade to the Cocktail Shaker f. Add 1/4oz Mothman Eggwhites to the Cocktail Shaker e. Add Ice, Shake & Pour f. Garnish with Starlight Fruit on a Toothpick (Description: This cocktail should have a perfect orange hue to it. Paired with the Yellow Starlight Fruit Garnish, the Mothman Martini would be perfect for Halloween)
7. Root Beer Rum Float a, Pint Glass (No Ice) b. Add 1 Scoop of Homemade Iced Cream to Pint Glass c. Add 2oz Rum d. Add 6oz of Nuka-Wild <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: N/A Fallout 4: 20 Caps | $28.80 Fallout 4 "Nuka-Cola Float" Alternative: 20 Caps | $28.80 Fallout 4 "Vim Float" Alternative: 20 Caps | $28.80 Fallout 76: [Unaffordable]
Info: Though still probably unaffordable at 20 Caps, the Root Beer Rum Float is proof that if you have enough Caps, you can indulge in some of the delicacies of the Wasteland. If you're visiting Appalachia you can still gather the supplies to make your own Homemade Iced Cream but at a huge cost since Brahmin milk is much more expensive there.
8. Black & Tan a. Pint Glass (No Ice) b. Add 8oz of Ale to Glass c. Layer 8oz of Stout on top of Ale <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: N/A Fallout 4: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout 76: 7 Caps | $10.08
Info: This cocktail is simple and does not require Ice to make or drink so it might gain a lot of popularity in Post Apocalyptic America.
9. Rum & Cola a. Rocks Glass (With Ice) b. Add 2oz Rum c. Fill with 2.5oz of Nuka-Cola <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: N/A Fallout 4: N/A Fallout 76: 11 Caps | $15.84
Info: If you thought Rum & Cola would be a thing in the wasteland then you thought wrong. Nuka-Cola and Vim cost about 20 caps per bottle making it difficult for bars to work with. However, in Appalachia the cost of a basic Nuka-Cola is only 10 Caps. Though this is much cheaper in comparison to other cities, if I'm paying 11 Caps I'd rather get a Mothman Martini.
10. New Vegas Bomb a. 2oz Shot Glass b. Add 1oz of Vodka to Shot Glass c. Add 1/4oz Barrel Cactus Fruit Schnapps to Shot Glass d. Add 3/4oz Prickly Pear Juice e. Fill a Rocks Glass with 8oz of Sunset Sarsaparilla <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 4: "Boston Bomb" Alternative: 12 Caps | $17.28 Fallout 76: "Firecracker Bomb" Alternative: 14 Caps | $20.16
Info: The New Vegas Bomb is the Post Apocalyptic version of the Vegas Bomb. In prewar times the Vegas Bomb was often drank in what was considered the "New Vegas" area. So to be fair, it should be called the New New Vegas Bomb.
  1. Boston Bomb (Alternative) a. 2oz Shot Glass b. Add 1oz of Whiskey to Shot Glass c. Add 1/4oz Mutfruit Schnapps to Shot Glass d. Add 3/4oz Tarberry Juice e. Fill a Rocks Glass with 8oz of Nuka-Bombdrop (Description: This Mutfruit and Tarberry cocktail gets it's name from the bomb that destroyed Boston in 2077, the one that many believe created the Glowing Sea)
10. Firecracker Bomb (Alternative) a. 2oz Shot Glass b. Add 1oz of Whiskey to Shot Glass c. Add 1/4oz Firecracker Schnapps to Shot Glass d. Add 3/4oz Cranberry Juice e. Fill a Rocks Glass with 8oz of Nuka-Cherry (Description: This cocktail gets its name from the exploding fruit that is native to the region. Don't worry though, they're safe to consume once picked)
11. Cherry Berry Fizz a. Collins Glass (With Ice) b. 2oz Vodka c. 2.5oz Tarberry Juice d. 2.5oz Nuka-Cherry e. Garnish with Tarberries on a Toothpick <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: N/A Fallout 4: 15 Caps | 21.60 Fallout 76: 8 Caps | $11.52 Fallout 76 "Cherry-Cranberry Fizz" Alternative: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallut 76 "Black-Cherry Fizz" Alternative: 10 Caps | $14.40
Info: This cocktail is sweet and refreshing, a perfect choice if you're visiting Nuka-World. It's definitely not cheap, but you're in Nuka-World, you're on vacation! I hope...
11. Black-Cherry Fizz (Alternative) a. Collins Glass (With Ice) b. 2oz Vodka c. 2.5oz Blackberry Juice d. 2.5oz Nuka-Cherry e. Garnish with Blackberries on a Toothpick (Description: Unlike the Red Cherry-Berry Fizz the Black-Cherry Fizz uses Blackberries instead of Tarberries making it's appearance Purple)
12. Liquor & Juice a. Rocks Glass (With Ice) b. 1.5z Vodka c. 3oz Apple Juice d. Garnish with a slice of Apple <> Fallout 3: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout 3 Mutfruit Alternative: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout New Vegas: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout New Vegas Mutfruit Alternative: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout 4 Mutfruit Alternative: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 4 Tarberry Alternative: 11 Caps | $15.84 Fallout 4 Melon Alternative: 2 Caps | $2.88 Fallout 76 Mutfruit Alternative: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 76 Tarberry Alternative: 5 Caps | $7.20 Fallout 76 Cap Codder Alternative: 3 Caps | $4.32
Info: Another wasteland favorite, Liquor & Juice is a step up from Whiskey & Water. And if you're careful about what you buy you can get away without spending much.
13. B.O.S.sy Boy a. Rocks Glass (With Ice) b. Add 1.5oz Vodka c. Add 0.5oz Lemonade d. Top with 2.5oz of Experimental Tea <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: N/A Fallout 4: 9 Caps | 12.96 Fallout 76: N/A
Info: The Bossy Boy got it's name from the Brotherhood of Steel Faction who are responsible for making the Experimental Plant. Though some claim it's addictive, it's probably not something that concerns you if you're drinking it with Alcohol.
14. Pink Panty Dropper a. Rocks Glass (With Ice) b. Add 1.5oz Vodka c. Add 0.5oz Tarberry Juice d. Add 1.5oz Lemonade e, Add 1oz Lager f. Garnish with Tarberries on a Toothpick <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas; N/A Fallout 4: 4 Caps | $5.76 Fallout 76: 3 Caps | $4.32
Info: This cocktail is perfect to get the night started. It's relatively cheap and tastes delicious. Though the original recipe does call for Strawberries, Tarberries will have to do for now.
15. Brave Brahmin a. Rocks Glass (With Ice) b. 1.5oz Tequila c. 1/4oz Ant Nectar or Sugar d. 2 3/4oz Black Coffee <> Fallout 3: N/A Fallout New Vegas: 7 Caps | $10.08 Fallout 4: N/A Fallout 76: 7 Caps | $10.08
Info: The Brave Brahmin is similar to the Brave Bull, and with Citrus being almost non-existent the Brave Brahmin is a nice change of pace since it's a Tequila Cocktail. Sure, Tequila has stood the test of time and survived the nuclear apocalypse, but clearly Margaritas have not.

33 [M4F] Upstate N.Y. - Bracing for a possibly lonely holiday season.

Hi there! I'm Sam, I'm 33 and I live in Cortland, N.Y. I'm the sports editor at a local newspaper, and in my spare time I enjoy watching sports, video and card games, trivia nights, mini golf, bowling, Dave & Buster's, casinos, conventions, tournaments and cooking - basically a whole bunch of activities shut down by COVID.
COVID has also thrown a serious wrench in my plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas. First, a little context:
I moved to Cortland from Massachusetts to take my current job in March, just as the pandemic was ramping up - the literal worst time to be a sports reporter. Because of COVID, I haven't really been able to meet new friends or socialize the way I normally would. I've had a few dates but nothing really came to fruition. But I did adopt a greyhound who has made this difficult time MUCH easier. Her name is Tina the Longerina.
Back to Thanksgiving and Christmas - all of my immediate family still lives in the Boston area, and I was looking forward to seeing them all next week, until Charlie Baker (about whom I have some OPINIONS) declared that travelers from New York (as well as 45 other states) must have proof of a negative COVID test from 72 hours or fewer before their arrival.
I'm not opposed to this, as I have a test scheduled for Monday, but with COVID cases turning into an inferno across the country, I fear that there could be even more drastic measures as the winter progresses that would prevent me from seeing my family entirely for Christmas. And there are a bunch of Christmas traditions I cherish with my family, so having to stay here during the holiday would be heartbreaking. Plus, they all want to meet Tina. And I don't blame them. She's awesome.
So with all that in mind, I'd like to meet someone special with whom I can build something serious starting this winter, and hopefully lasting far beyond that. After all, at my age, I'd like to think that if I wasn't married by now, I'd at least be living with a long term S.O. I have pretty much everything else I want in life - a steady paycheck, a dog, my own place - now I just want to find that special someone who can be my romantic partner, activity partner and best friend.
Hopefully I've piqued your interest. Send me a message and let's chat!
And here's what I look like. Hope to hear from you soon!

My(29) wife(30) is pregnant with another man's child and wants a divorce.

I (M29) got confirmation on Monday that my wife (F30) is pregnant and that she is filing for divorce this upcoming Monday. She kicked me out of where we were living in NJ and I'm currently staying with my parents in NC. I don't want to get divorced. I want to work it out. I already forgive her.
So backstory: My wife and I were married for over two years back in 2018 when something triggered what I learned to be an autoimmune disease. I was able to take off work and collect short term disability while I was going to doctors in NJ and PA. During this time my health reached a critical point where I couldn't perform basic daily functions. It was difficult on both of us but we both still loved each other dearly and were fighting for each other.
My wife got laid off around the same time and short term disability and vacation pay ran out. She wasn't comfortable with me going back to work and wanted to try doctors somewhere else. Somewhere else was NC. My parents lived in NC. I resisted a little but eventually gave in and we moved in with my parents for what was supposed to be temporarily.
The living conditions were supposed to be very short term but they were very difficult. My wife and daughter ended up sharing a twin bed while I slept on a couch. She ended up getting a part time job working $11/hr and was working overnights. This put a lot of stress on our relationship and communication broke down. My sister (35) and her daughter also lived at my parents and started feeding seeds of doubt into my wife's head, telling her we shouldn't be together.
Due to having to move I quit my job in NJ. When in NC I tried to apply for unemployment and insurance but the state kept messing up paperwork and giving me the run around. Our finances plummeted and so did my mind. I became crippled with depression and disease and couldn't come out of it without a push. My wife was also depressed and neither of us could be the rock the other needed.
9 months later we learned that my wives grandma needed help because she had an upcoming surgery. I was starting to learn how to deal with my disease and depression and we moved back to NJ to help. We were so excited that things might finally change!
Three problems- The seed of doubt was sown. The house was small and we still couldn't sleep in the same bed. No one would hire me.
This continued to put stress on our relationship, I fell back into depression and struggled. My health was manageable but my mental state wasn't. My turned to friends for guidance and they agreed she needed a ladies night out. I was supportive of this and pushed her to go. They went to the casinos but, her friends also invited an old male friend of my wife from Boston. In a moment of drunkenness and weakness she had sex with him and became pregnant.
She started to beat herself up. Started going to therapy (for which I thought was for her depression) and was so embarrassed that she couldn't confess to me. A few months in (after CoVid started) I noticed something was up, something different. I pried for answers but she wouldn't give them to me, she was closing up, I tried and tried to get her to talk to me and she didn't. I refused to spy on her and gave her the benefit of the doubt. We were only truly intimate twice after this moment. Later on she put on the baby weight and I knew what happened. I kept giving her opportunities to tell me but she didn't. At first I was mad but eventually forgave her.

Book Rey Mysterio If He Never Joined WWE in 2018 - Part 2: Booyaka

Part 1 here
In this part, we saw Rey Mysterio jump onto the scene of NJPW. He started off hot, taking on his two amigos in Jushin Thunder Liger and Hiroshi Tanahashi respectively. At King of Pro-Wrestling, he defeated Liger - but fell to The Ace in a match for his G1 Climax briefcase. He then won the IWGP United States Championship off of Cody to end his offspring of Bullet Club, and would embark on a title reign. He successfully defended against Bandido last time we saw him, and now he moves onto his next challenger.
Book Rey Mysterio If He Never Joined WWE in 2018 - Part 2: Booyaka
G1 Supercard:
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Tomohiro Ishii - IWGP United States Championship
Rey Mysterio skips out on the New Japan Cup, and instead prepares for the G1 Supercard. It will be the biggest show NJPW have held in America, and since he’s the United States Champion he will be defending. Rey ventures off to GCW for Joey Janela’s Spring Break, taking part in the Clusterfuck as a surprise entrant. On Night Two, after Janela faces off with Jungle Boy - he calls out Rey to a match for a later date. He wants to take his anger out on someone, and the IWGP United States Champion is his next victim.
He fought in the inaugural title match but came up short to Kenny Omega, but now he has his chance to become the first Japanese man to hold it. PROGRESS Chapter 88: Super Strong Style 16:
Marty Scurll vs. Rey Mysterio
With his United States Championship lost, ending his 92 day reign, Mysterio heads away from Japan for a while to regain himself. He’s confirmed to show up at PROGRESS‘ Super Strong Style, but later revealed that he won’t actually participate - instead wrestle on the last night in a standard singles match with no prizes but merit. Meanwhile, his opponent is scheduled to be...Marty Scurll. A man who hasn’t appeared in PROGRESS in a long while, mainly because he’s in the middle of a ROH World Championship reign. Having begun his reign in June of 2018, Marty still holds it. He’ll return to PROGRESS for this night however, as he wants to face Rey…badly. After Dominion last year when Rey lost to Marty, he’s wanted to defeated him one on one. A year of wait, and he finally gets his chance. The ultimate hero vs. The ultimate villain, it’s like a comic book finale.
In the lead up, Marty cuts a promo on Mysterio. In it he is as snivelling as ever, offering his wife Angie a night with him and calling Dominick “a giant lummocks“. Then when the third night of the Super Strong Style 16 arrives, we hear Rey Mysterio’s entrance music for the first time in PROGRESS history, as he enters to a raucous pop from the Alexandra Palace. Alexandra Park in London lose their minds for the Lucha Libre legend, who comes out in Black Knight attire (a Marvel superhero from Britain). The fans love him and he shakes hand with Jim Smallman as he enters. Marty Scurll’s reception is mixed, but he certainly wants it to be vocally harsh. He takes beer out of fans hands and spits it at them, which certainly turns their reactions around.
The two men stare down after the bell is rung, a seismic stare. Rey puts his hand up with two fingers, but so does Scurll. They then both do the “2-0-5” taunt in sync. The crowd laugh, which Marty doesn’t like. He taunts on the second turnbuckle to earn their ire. Rey does the same and receives a good response. Scurll then jumps off and walks over to Rey - WHO DIVES AT HIM WITH A HURRICANERANA! They then run the ropes, AND MARTY CATCHES HIM WITH AN ARM DRAG HANDSPRING! MYSTERIO HITS HIS OWN ARM DRAG! Marty runs the ropes but Rey goes for a FRONT DROPKICK - but Marty halts so Rey misses the boat. SCURLL THEN DOUBLE FOOT STOMPS ON THE LUCHADORS FEET!! He lifts him up and starts to chop his chest.
Marty finishes the chops, AND THEN HITS A ROPE-ASSISTED ENZIGURI!! He stomps on Rey while he shouts at fans who boo him, telling them to be louder. He smashes his knee into a kneeling Rey, and then lifts him into a Gory Special!! REY ESCAPES WITH A SUNSET FLIP!! HE RUNS THE ROPES AND GOES FOR A SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY, BUT SCURLL CATCHES WITH A SITOUT SUPLEX SLAM!! HE RUNS THE ROPES AND HITS A PENALTY KICK!! HE LOCKS IN AN OCTOPUS HOLD!! He wrenches on it, but Rey shuffles to the ropes. Scurll then slides outside to shout at a fan who insulted him. SCURLL IS THEN HIT BY A SUICIDE DIVE INTO A HEADSCISSORS BY MYSTERIO!! REY THROWS HIM INSIDE AND HITS A FROGSPLASH!!! 1................2............KICK OUT!!! MARTY DOESN’T DIE AFTER THE SURPRISE ATTACK!!
Rey is now out of his trance of being beaten down and is back in the fight. Scurll goes for a Wheelbarrow Bodyscissors but Rey counters with an Arm Drag! HE GOES FOR A SUNSET FLIP PIN BUT SCURLL BREAKS OUT WITH A LANZA!! SCURLL THEN LIFTS REY UP FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX!! HE CONNECTS, AND GOES FOR ANOTHER! BUT MYSTERIO FLIPS OUT AND HITS A HEADSCISSORS!! HE THEN CONNECTS A BASEBALL SLIDEFOLLOWED BY HEADSCISSORS!! Rey is on a roll as he dances like Eddie outside. Scurll goes to push him into a fans seat, but Mysterio ducks and PUSHES HIM INTO THE APRON!! They then fight there. Scurll knocks Rey off and CONNECTS A SUPERKICK FROM THE APRON!! HE THEN DIVES OUT WITH A MOONSAULT TO THE FLOOR!!
Now they’re both on the ground. Scurll is dead and so is Rey. They crawl up by the fans laps. Scurll asks a fan to hold Rey in place as he lines up a Penalty Kick. MYSTERIO EVADES BEFORE THE KICK CONNECTS AND PUSHES HIM ONTO A GROUP OF FANS SEATS!! HE THEN DIVES OFF THE SECOND ROPE WITH A CROSSBODY - OVER THE FANS HEADS TO SCURLL!! They’re both even more dead than before and spend time climbing out of the wreckage, through fans and bent and fallen chairs. Rey navigates his way back while Marty writhes in the agony. Once back in the ring Mysterio dives for a Seated Senton - BUT IS HIT BY A SUPERKICK!! SCURLL HITS THE BLACK PLAGUE AND ROLLS INTO THE CROSSFACED CHICKENWING!! REY GETS HIS FOOT ON THE ROPES!! Scurll angrily lets go, throwing the luchador to the mat.
They’re back up and the contest is still on. Rey knocks Scurll down with a SUNSET FLIP INTO A ROUNDHOUSE KICK, AND THEN HITS THE DROPPIN DA DIME!!! 1.............2...........KICK OUT!!! MYSTERIO LIFTS SCURLL UP AND GOES FOR A BULLDOG, BUT MARTY HITS A BACKBREAKER RACK DROPPED INTO A FACEBUSTER!! SCURLL JUMPS FOR A TORNADO DDT - BUT MYSTERIO CATCHES WTH A DROPKICK!! HE THEN FLIES WITH HIS OWN TORNADO DDT!! 1...........2.........SCURLL ROLLS OUT AND GOES FOR THE TORNADO DDT, BUT MYSTERIO CATCHES HIM WITH A SUPER HURRICANERANA!! MARTY LANDS ON HIS FEET AND HITS THE PARTY’S OVER!! HIS OLD FINISHER BUSTED OUT ON THIS OCCASION!!! HE COVERS, 1...............2...............MYSTERIO KICKS OUT JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME!!!
They roll outside to recover after the big rush of counters. Scurll is first up and walks over to Rey’s daughter and wife. He tries to chat them up, BUT REY TURNS HIM AROUND INTO A THROW INTO THE RING POST!! HE HITS A BIG BOOT INTO THE STEEL!! Rey then sets up a wooden table, and brings Scurll up to the apron. They both trade forearms there. Marty jumps to the second rope, possibly looking for a TORNADO DDT!! REY BRINGS HIM DOWN AND HITSMA HURRICANERANA OFF THE APRON!! SCURLL CRASHES DOWN THROUGH THE WOODEN TABLE ONTO THE WOODEN FLOOR!! Scurll grabs his back in utter agony, his spine crushed by the wooden table and floor. Rey then picks him off the mat and rolls him inside.
Rey is looking to end it now, as he climbs up for a SPRINGBOARD SPLASH!! HE THEN LOOKS FOR A 619, BUT SCURLL HITS A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT!! SCURLL THEN GOES FOR A KNEELING REVERSE PILEDRIVER!! MYSTERIO COUNTERS WITH A ROLL UP FOLLOWED BY A FRONT DROPKICK AFTER THE KICK OUT! REY THEN CLIMBS UP FOR A DIVING WEST COAST POP!! 1............2.........KICK OUT!! REY GOES FOR ANOTHER - BUT ITS CAUGHT!! MARTY CATCHES HIM INTO A BIRD OF PREY!! HE HITS A TORNADO DDT!! HE FINALLY LOCKS IN THE CROSSFACED CHICKENWING!! REY ESCAPES AND SWINGS AROUND THE ROPES IN A 619 BUT IS HIT BY A SUPERKICK!! SCURLL THEN LOCKS IN THE CROSSFACED CHICKENWING WITH A BODYSCISSORS!! REY TAPS OUT!!!
Marty Scurll defeats Rey Mysterio (19:58)
Dominion 2019:
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Rey Mysterio - IWGP Heavyweight Championship
At Wrestling Dontaku, we see Kazuchika Okada and SANADA face off for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in Night Two’s main event on May 4th. Afterwards, Rey Mysterio appears on video where he says he will return to New Japan at Dominion to take on Okada for his IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The Rainmaker then states that in his post-match press conference, that he’s always wanted to face Rey Mysterio and that he’ll be happy to do it. Rey is a good and honourable man who deserves this title match after 25 years of wrestling. Okada is happy to give him the opportunity but makes sure Mysterio knows, he won’t win.
Later in the month is AEW’s Double or Nothing. The highly anticipated show features a plethora of talent and star studded match ups, after the Jacksonville and Las Vegas rallies individually. Rey Mysterio appears at neither however despite heavy rumour and speculation. However, to open the show we see the Casino Battle Royale. In this we get a bomb dropped on us - the debut of Mysterio in AEW. Entering as the Joker, he comes and cleans house. It comes down to him and Adam Page, who face off in a 5-minute long battle. The winner will face either Kenny Omega or Chris Jericho at All Out for the AEW World Championship so the stakes are high. In the end, Hangman eliminates Rey after a Buckshot and Superkick combo.
Then two weeks later is Dominion. For the first time ever, Rey Mysterio will challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. After a hell of the show we reach the main event. We’ve seen Dragon Lee vs. Will Ospreay, and Kota Ibushi vs. Tetsuya Naito, and now we’re here. Rey Mysterio cuts a promo earlier in the show about how this means the world to him, this opportunity, and that he needs to win. He will never get a chance like this again, and can’t waste it. Mysterio represents is no-nonsense ordeal, as he comes out dressed as The Punisher. He’s got the navy singlet, with a skull across it. His mask then has the skull as well on it. Mysterio taunts on the second rope, but then Okada comes out. It’s the same thing he felt against Tanahashi and Liger, just being in the presence of someone on another world.
When the bell rings, they don’t lock up straight away. They take in the magnitude of the stage and suck it all in. About a minute passes of this, before they lock up. They get into a collar and elbow, and Rey spins into a waist lock. Okada arm drags him off and cinches in a chinlock. Rey tries to flip out but Okada simply lowers down with him. HE THEN HITS A BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX!! Okada cinches in another chinlock. Rey gets up and Irish whips Okada to the ropes. The Rainmaker rebounds and connects a Shoulder Block to take Mysterio down. Rey gets up while Okada runs the ropes, and hits a HEADSCISSORS! Mysterio ducks under a clothesline and cinches the waistlock. He takes Okada down and applies a nerve hold, then hits a Spinal Tap!
Okada lifts himself up and runs the ropes for a Short-arm Lariat! Rey stumbles back and rolls into a VICTORY ROLL!! 1........2.....KICK OUT!! OKADA GETS UP WITH A SHOULDER BLOCK, AND THEN RUNS THE ROPES FOR A RONT DROPKICK INTO THE CORNER!! Mysterio takes a Bret Hart sell of falling on impact. OKADA LIFTS HIM FOR A FLAPJACK BUT REY FLIPS OUT AND HITS AN ARM DRAG!! HE RUNS THE ROPES BUT IS CAUGHT IN A WHEELBARROW !BODYSCISSORS, THAT IS COUNTERED WITH A BULLDOG!! FLYING HEADSCISSORS BY MYSTERIO!! HE RUNS THE ROPES BUT OKADA HITS THE FLAPJACK AND FOLLOWS WITH A MILLION DOLLAR DROPKICK!! Okada then lifts Mysterio up and throws him to the corner, and starts to apply shoulder blocks.
Okada Irish whips Mysterio who LEAPFROGS THE RAINMAKER AND HITS A MYSTERIO-EXPRESS!!! 1..........2.......KICK OUT!! OKADA WITH ANOTHER SHORT-ARM LARIAT!! Okada connects a European Uppercut to a kneeling Rey! This is the cut off, and The Rainmaker starts to stomp down on him. He lifts Mysterio up and Irish whips Rey, who jumps to the second rope AND DIVES OFF WITH A DIVING HURRICANERANA!!! OKADA ROLLS THROUGH AND CONNECTS A OPEN HAND CHOP!! DROPKICK!! HE LIFTS REY UP FOR A BACKBODY DROP BUT MYSTERIO EVADES AND HITS A SPINNING WHEEL KICK!! Rey is back in the fight, and runs the ropes for a RUNNING CROSSBODY!! HE HITS A TILT-A-WHIRL TORNADO DDT!! 1..........2........KICK OUT!!!
Rey pulls himself up by the ropes, hoping the comeback got him. He punches the air, but lifts The Rainmaker up. He heads to the apron and awaits Okada - BUT SUNSET FLIPS OVER! REY ROLLS HIM AND HITS A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!! Mysterio then runs the ropes but OKADA WITH A BIG BOOT!! HE HITS THE HEAVY RAIN!! 1........2.........KICK OUT!!! REY PULLS HIMSELF UP AND HITS A LOU THESZ PRESS!! HE GOES FOR A SHIRANUI - BUT OKADA DUMPS HIM ONTO THE MAT!! Rey doesn’t get up from that one, feeling the pain. Okada stomps on him and kicks the head, THEN GOES FOR A DDT!! MYSTERIO SLIDES OUT AND HITS A HEADSCISSORS!! HE RUNS THE ROPES AND CONNECTS THE 619 OUT OF NOWHERE!! He climbs the ropes and points to the crowd - DIVING SPLASH!! 1.........2.........KICK OUT FROM THE RAINMAKER!!!
Rey gets desperate to end it and HITS A BASEBALL SLIDE TO THE OUTSIDE!! HE FOLLOWS WITH A SUICIDE DIVE INTO A HEADSCISSORS!! Okada falls into the guardrail both times, feeling the steel on his back. Rey goes to Irish whip but Okada reverses into his own. Rey then hops the guardrail and awaiting to see what Okada does. OKADA THEN DIVES OVER THE GUARDRAIL WITH THE SCOOBY DOOBY DOO!!! They both lay dead, as the referee counts down from 20. Eventually they get back up, after a lot of stumbling and tumbling. They get back in and REY DIVES WITH THE WEST COAST POP!! 1.........2.......OKADA ROLLS OUT OF IT WITH REY ON HIS BACK!!! ALABAMA SLAM!!! KICKOUT!!! HE LOCKS IN THE DEEP IN DEBT BUT REY GETS OUT!! HE RUNS TO THE CORBER BUT SO DOES OKADA WHO HITS A RUNNING BACK ELBOW!! HE THEN CONNECTS THE AIR RAID CRASH NECKBREAKER!!! 1...............2.............KICK OUT!!!!
Both guys have kicked out a bunch of times, but now they’re down to the last minute. They’ve gone over 20 minutes and start to trade forearms. They double down after their fifth blows. They crawl by the corners - AND REY HITS THE AIR MYSTERIO!! HE RUNS UP FOR A MYSTERIO-RANA!!!! 1...........2........OKADA ROLS OUT AND HITS A SCOOP SLAM!! HE THEN CLIMBS THE ROPES - AND DIVES WITH A DIVING ELBOW DROP!! HE LIFTS HIM UP FOR A RAINMAKER - BUT MYSTERIO DUCKS UNDER AND HITS A POISONED RANA!!! HE DIVES IN WITH A SPRINGBOARD SITOUT FACEBUSTER!! REY GOES FOR ANOTHER MYSTERIO EXPRESS, BUT OKADA COUNTERS AND LOCKS IN THE DEEP IN DEBT!! MYSTERIO ESCAPES, BUT IS LOCKED IN WITH A COBRA CLUTCH!!!! REY REACHES THE ROPES!!! HE GOES FOR A 619 BUT OKADA CATCHES AND HITS THE RAINMAKER!!!! 1................2.................3!!!!!!
Kazuchika Okada defeats Rey Mysterio (26:13)
Fyter Fest 2019:
The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Rey Mysterio and The Lucha Brothers (Fénix and Pentagon Jr.) - Six-man Tag Team Match
With the launch of All Elite Wrestling, many peoples attention have been grabbed. Double or Nothing as we know saw Rey Mysterio make his shock debut to open the main show as the Joker slot in the Casino Battle Royale. Him and Hangman Adam Page had a war as the final two, ending with Page winning. Now comes Fyter Fest, however this scheduled match between The Elite and The Lucha Bros/Pac has been altered. Pac pulls out and so the replacement is revealed on The Road To Fyter Fest, where Rey Mysterio is interviewed and then he announces he will be the partner of the Lucha Bros. This is the official main event of Fyter Fest, as the actual last match is Unsanctioned.
The Young Bucks enter first dressed as Ryu and Ken each, both posing on the stage until…the lights go down. A fan walks on stage, but then they go down again. KENNY APPEARS AS AKUMA’S RAGING DEMON!! He holds the finger gun over the fans body and makes his way down to the ring with his Elite stablemates. Then comes The Lucha Brothers. On the stage are Fénix and Pentagon dressed in their skull masks and hoodies. They both walk out but point to the centre, WHERE OUT COMES REY MYSTERIO!! Rey unhoods from his blue cloak to reveal his normal mask. He is dressed as Death from the Castlevania series in line with the whole skeleton aesthetic as well as for the video game tie-in.
“Round 1 – FIGHT!” yells Justin Roberts as Nick Jackson and Rey Mysterio start us off. They go into a lockup and start to push forward and back. Nick lifts himself to the second rope and tightropes it, before jumping down with an Arm Drag. Rey rolls through with that but jumps back in a Rana. They both run the ropes but Nick leapfrogs and Mysterio rolls under, then springboards off with a Crossbody. A cover goes nowhere and Nick kips up for his own arm drag, followed by a Back Body Drop that Rey flips out of. They then go to a stalemate at this point and reposition in their respective corners. Kenny whispers to Nick while Mysterio stretches on the ropes. They both then move forward to the centre.
Rey hits an Overhead Chop and follows with an Open Hand to the chest. He does this while maintaining wrist control. He then hits a Roundhouse Kick and an Enziguri, and runs up the ropes, then dives off with a CROSSBODY! Nick goes for a Superkick once up, but Rey spins him into a Spinning Wheel Kick attempt, which Nick spins and they HIT STEREO SUPERKICKS!! THEY THEN DOUBLE DOWN WITH CLOTHESLINES!! ALL THE LUCHADORS THEN DIVE OUT AFTER THE ELITE!!
They all enter the ring and isolate Matt. The Bros hit Superkicks and hold him in place for a MYSTERIO EXPRESS!! Nick comes inside but is hit by a Hook Kick, and then with a SEATED SENTON FROM REY!! FÉNIX WITH A DOUBLE SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT TO NICK!!! 1……..2…..KICK OUT!!!!! The Bros roll out and Nick and Mysterio keep going. They trade forearms, until Rey tags in Fénix. MATT COMES IN WITH A TOPE CON HILO TO BOTH GUYS!1 HE HITS A NORTHERN LIGHTS ON PENTAGON WITH AN O’CONNOR ROLL ON FÉNIX!! 1………2……KICK OUT!! HIM AND NICK THEN HIT DOUBLE SLINGSHOT SITOUT FACEBUSTERS!!

HE GOES FOR THE YOU CAN’T ESCAPE!! BUT IT IS INDEED ESCAPED! MYSTERIO DIVES OFF THE TOP WITH A MOONSAULT!! Kenny recovers himself, BEFORE DIVING OUTSIDE WITH A RISE OF THE TERMINATOR TO PENTAGON!! PENTAGON CUTS HIM OFF! Cero…Miedo – AND THEY START TO FIGHT ON THE OUTSIDE!! They go to the apron where Pentagon lays in some chops, BUT OMEGA WITH A KOTARO KRUSHER ON THE APRON!! THE BUCKS THEN SEND FÉNIX TO THE FLOOR WITH A BACK BODY DROP + CANNONBALL SENTON COMBO!!
Now all The Elite are inside and isolate Rey Mysterio. The Elite triple team him, with Matt and Nick holding Rey in place for A V-TRIGGER!! FOLLOWED BY A GERMAN SUPLEX!! KENNY HITS THE YOU CAN’T ESCAPE!! MATT FOLLOWS WITH A TOP ROPE ELBOW AND NICK WITH A SWANTON!!! 1………2……KICK OUT!!!! They pick him up and The Bucks try to double team. SUPERKICK TO KENNY FOLLOWED BY A LUNGBLOWER!! Kenny rolls out, but then FÉNIX SPRINGBOARDS TO THE OUTSIDE WITH A TORNILLO TO OMEGA!! REY FOLLOWS WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!! PENTAGON THEN HITS A LANZA TO MATT BACK IN THE RING AND COVERS! 1………2…….KICK OUT!!!
MATT FIRES BACK!! RUNNING CANADIAN DESTROYER TO PENTAGON – FOLLOWED BY A SPEAR!! Omega tags in and fights off all the luchadors, AND HITS DRAGON SUPLEXS ON ALL OF THEM!! Pentagon cuts him off again, AND SUPERKICKS NICK! HE TOSSES FÉNIX ONTO HIM WITH A MOONSAULT!! REY THEN HITS A WEST COAST POP ON KENNY!! 1…….2…..KICK OUT!!!! Mysterio then picks him up and hits THREE ROUNDHOUSE KICKS!! THE WHOLE MATCH THEN BREAKS DOWN INTO A SUPERKICK PARTY!! The Elite rally, BUT EAT SUPERKICKS!! THEY FIRE BACK WITH HADOKENS!! OMEGA WITH THE V-TRIGGER!!
FÉNIX THEN FLIES IN WITH A CUTTER!! NICK CUTS HIM OFF WITH A NECKBREAKER!! FÉNIX THEN HITS THE SPANISH FLY TO NICK, OFF THE ROPES, INTO MATT AND PENTAGON ON THE FLOOR!! This takes those guys out but we still have Mysterio and Omega. KENNY HITS A V-TRIGGER OUT OF MIDAIR, AND THE TIGER DRIVER 98!!! 1………..2………KICK OUT!! KENNY WITH ANOTHER V-TRIGGER AND GOES FOR THE ONE-WINGED ANGEL – BUT REY HEADSCISSORS OUT!! HE CALLS FOR THE 619 AND CONNECTS IT!! HE THEN FLIES HIGH WITH THE WEST COAST POP TO FINISH OMEGA!!!!! 1……………..2………………3!!! THE LUCHADORS WIN THE BOUT, AND REY MYSTERIO PINS KENNY OMEGA CLEAN!!

Ghislaine Maxwell led much of her life under the world’s fascinated microscopic view, always enthralled by her – famous and infamous – as it watched her fortunes wax and wane.
From the celebrated miracle daughter of media tycoon Robert Maxwell; to the broken young woman who fled scandal in the UK to a small New York apartment, trying to launch a new life; the rebirth Jet-set Ghislaine, who was everywhere at once, longtime companion of Jeffrey Epstein, a man even richer and more shady than her father; the sophisticated middle age woman, a runaway alleged criminal trying hard to avoid detection by her pursuers – finally, to the incarcerated, indicted suspected sex trafficker and perjurer.
Ghislaine was Robert and Betty Maxwell’s miracle baby, born on Christmas Day, 1961. Two days after that, their eldest son suffered a fatal car accident.
In 24 hours, it all had been somehow foretold: joy – and then tragedy.
During the Swinging Sixties, Robert Maxwell served two terms as a Labour Member of Parliament (MP) for Buckingham. He led a multimillionaire lifestyle, and was the host of star-studded parties at Headington Hill Hall, his baronial fifty-three-room Oxford mansion.
The Maxwells spent a million dollars redecorating the mansion. In a stained glass window scene for the imperial staircase, Israeli sculptor Nehemia Azaz depicted Robert Maxwell as the biblical hero Samson tearing down the gates of Gaza: “a titan of luck, impossible achievement, and unlimited wealth”.
They had the use of chauffeured luxury cars. They traveled the world in Robert’s Gulfstream IV Jet and his sleek 180-foot yacht, named Lady Ghislaine.
“If Bob Maxwell didn’t exist, no one could invent him,” Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock celebrated the bombastic, demanding mogul who dined with kings and presidents and had a bottomless appetite for family, food, fortune, and fame.
The first brush with financial and professional hardship came at a age when young Ghislaine would have been mostly sheltered from it.
In the early seventies, after Robert Maxwell tried similar shenanigans in a failed attempt to swindle the American financier Saul Steinberg, who was interested in a strategic acquisition of Pergamon Press. Steinberg claimed that during negotiations, Maxwell falsely stated that a subsidiary responsible for publishing encyclopedias was extremely profitable.
At the same time, Pergamon had been forced to reduce its profit forecasts for 1969 during the period of negotiations, leading to a suspension of dealing in Pergamon shares on the London stock markets.
It was found that Maxwell had contrived to maximize Pergamon’s share price through transactions between his private family companies. This was a criminal practice he would utilize again in the future.
Inspectors from Britain’s Department of Trade and Industry declared Maxwell unfit to run a public company: “Notwithstanding Mr. Maxwell’s acknowledged abilities and energy, he is not in our opinion a person who can be relied on to exercise proper stewardship of a publicly quoted company.”
‘Captain Bob’ established the Maxwell Foundation in tax haven Liechtenstein, in 1970. By the 1980s he come back roaring, prompted by money later said to have originated in the Soviet Union. He bought the Mirror Group built and a massive media conglomerate.
The good times were on: Ghislaine was nicknamed “The Shopper” because of her wild spending funded by Robert’s millions. He also bankrolled her failed corporate gifts business.
During this period, she reportedly had a VERY close relationship with her father and was widely credited with being her father’s favorite child.
In Oxford, Ghislaine led a student life of wealth and privilege. Her father would send Filipino servants to the college house she shared to clean, arrange the table and cook, in the event of a party.
Her career piggybacked on her father’s businesses. She was made director of the Oxford United, and later, put in charge of “special projects” of the New York Daily News.
With her father’s money, she found her way into society, especially in New York — a haven where she could escape his complete control.
But the good times were not to last. Overextended and over-leveraged, Maxwell’s empire was about to crumble.
At this time, Maxwell reportedly was a regular at London’s casinos, playing three tables at once, even dropping $2.5 million in a single night. For years, he had been an inveterate gambler, but this was the behavior of a desperate man whose time was running out.
“He was a very crude man,” said a female writer for Time magazine. “His polish was not very deep. If you were with him for any length of time, it peeled away. I was in his library in the Maxwell House penthouse—a beautiful apartment with marble and servants all over the place—and while I was admiring his books, his valet said to me, ‘You should see Mr. Maxwell’s collection of pornographic tapes’.”
Ghislaine visited her father in his office before he flew off to Gibraltar. “He was looking for an apartment in New York—a sort of pied-à-terre, where he could talk and have meetings—and he wanted me to help him,” she told Vanity Fair. “He asked me to go see a particular apartment. He said, ‘If you like it, I’ll make time to see it and come to New York.’ ” But the next time Ghislaine saw her father, he was dead.
”Ghislaine is the baby of the family and the one who was closest to her father,” her mother Betty told Vanity Press. ”The whole of Ghislaine’s world has collapsed, and it will be very difficult for her to continue.”
When she finally appeared before the reporters, she had collected herself. “How did your father die?” a journalist shouted at Ghislaine Maxwell. “He did not commit suicide. That was just not consistent with his character. I think he was murdered. ”
Maxwell, it turned out, had debts of nearly $5 billion, and had stolen hundreds of millions from the Mirror Group’s pension funds to shore up his faltering companies. That left 32,000 employees exposed to retirement ruin.
The irony was not lost on the hard-hitting British press: Robert Maxwell, a socialist, stealing hundreds of millions of pounds from the Mirror’s pension fund!
He swindled money from two of his public companies, transferred millions in and out the secret family trusts in Liechtenstein, to manipulate the share price of his Corporation.
Robert was called “rogue,” “crook,” “bully,” “thief,” “megalomaniac,” and “gangster.” The press told lurid tales of his sex orgies with midget Filipino hookers.
He was seen as a 310-pound aberration gorging on spoonfuls of caviar. An erratic and cruel tyrant who used Turkish towels for toilet paper. Journalists wrote that he was a spy for the K.G.B. or Mossad or Czech intelligence—or all three.
“My daughter Ghislaine has no money, no trusts, no funds anywhere.” her mother Betty told Vanity Fair. “Neither of [my children] had any money. Their father never gave them any money.”
Their assets were frozen. His son Kevin’s house was put up for sale, as were the Lady Ghislaine and the Gulfstream IV Jet. Their passports were seized.
A friend told The Times of London, “[Ghislaine] had always been the life and soul of the party wherever she wanted to go in the world and never had to worry about money.” Now she was the broken child of a monster, his name forever synonymous to scandal. “She was catatonic,” the friend said.
Forced to vacate her huge company-provided residence, she moved into a small apartment. When a friend came to visit, Ghislaine told her, “They took everything—everything—even the cutlery.”
Little did she know how many more times things in her life would shift from silver spoons to hard times. A woman brought up in luxury, she had everything taken from her, before she came to the United States to begin again.
“He wasn’t a crook,” Ghislaine told Vanity Press. “A thief to me is somebody who steals money. (…) Did he put it in his own pocket? Did he run off with the money? No. And that’s my definition of a crook.”
“I’m surviving—just,” she said. “But I can’t just die quietly in a comer. I have to believe that something good will come out of this mess. It’s sad for my mother. It’s sad to have lost my dad. It’s sad for my brothers. But I would say we’ll be back. Watch this space.”
Ghislaine Maxwell was also being hunted by the tabloids. The Maxwell name was so detested in London that she is said to have had to walk around in a blond wig so people wouldn’t recognize her.
Ghislaine Maxwell’s reinvention didn’t take long. Maxwell moved to the United States just after her father’s death. Her photograph boarding a Concorde to cross the Atlantic caused outrage – her father had just defrauded pensioners out of 750 Million Sterling Pounds.
According to the Mail on Sunday: “Unnoticed by almost everybody, traveling with her was a greying, plumpish, middle-aged American businessman who managed to avoid the photographers. It is to this man that 30-year-old Ghislaine has turned to ease the heartache of her father’s shame.”
“His name is Jeffrey Epstein.”
“Whose house is this, Ghislaine?” a friend asked her in the early 1990’s. “Who lives here?”
My friend,” Maxwell replied.
“Well, is he banging you?” the friend demanded. “What’s the scoop here?”
A trust fund is said to have provided her with an income of $145,000 a year. A far cry from her previous seemingly unending wealth. She “never, ever had any cash. Lots of credit, of course, but no cash”, one friend recalled to the press.
And yet, she lived the high life. She was known in New York as the “female Gatsby” for her lavish entertaining. Had a “reputation for being charming and funny, and a glittering lifestyle straight out of the pages of a society magazine”.
She was now “far from the ever watchful eye of the British press,” Hello! magazine wrote in 1997.
“She is proud of the fact that her new life is all down to her own hard work and has her elegant apartment to show for it,” the magazine mistakenly added. One day, she would “get married and have kids. But it has never been a focus: My focus is my business.”
Ghislaine’s presence added more fuel to the question: “How did Jeffrey Epstein amass his fortune?” For one of the most propagated theories is that Maxwell’s father Robert bankrolled him with funds hidden from the UK authorities.
Jeffrey Epstein built a 21,000-square-foot mansion on a massive ranch in New Mexico, which – he boasted – made his New York townhouse “look like a shack”. He named it the Zorro Ranch. He also acquired a 72-acre island in the Virgin Islands and an 8,600-square-foot home in Paris, with a specially built massage room.
She had found a path back to the lifestyle she’d lost when her father died. “She was used to living very well,” says a friend who knew her then. “She didn’t want to go back to where she was.” All she had to do to keep it was to give ‘the monster’ what he wanted.
Maxwell was expected to drop everything to serve Epstein.
She had to keep everyone in line, because one misstep would unleash the wrath of Epstein, one of the few people who could make Maxwell cry. “He would be screaming over the phone,” recalled an Epstein victim, “and she would burst into tears.”
The New York townhouse became a social nexus; guests could have included members of the Kennedy and Rockefeller clans, “along with the requisite sprinkling of countesses and billionaires,” according to The Times of London.
She was “a modern-day geisha” in a “domain filled with the richest people in the planet. “It’s a world frequented by young half-naked girls in bikinis, billionaires and lavish lifestyles, but it borders on the grotesque. You are never really sure what is going on behind closed doors.”
Royalty was specially prized, which is why her friendship with Prince Andrew became so treasured. In 2000, Maxwell and Epstein attended a Prince Andrew’s party at the Queen’s Sandringham House estate in Norfolk, England. It has been reported that the event was in honor of Maxwell’s 39th birthday.
And yet, Ghislaine began trying to distance herself from Epstein long before he went to jail. In the early 2000s, she hooked up in California with a man much richer than Epstein: Ted Waitt.
Waitt lived in a seven-bedroom, 14-bath mansion in La Jolla, sailed the world aboard a 240-foot mega-yacht, the Plan B. It was equipped with a helipad, Jacuzzi, elevator, gym, and HAD AN ONBOARD SUBMARINE, which Maxwell soon was licensed to pilot.
After Epstein went to prison in Florida for a short period, Maxwell saw the silver spoons turned into hard times again.
Acquaintances that crossed her path reported how she was almost unrecognizable. She was not stylish and attention grabbing anymore, seemed determined to go unnoticed. Her face had no makeup. There was a hint of gray in her black hair, she put on some weight.
“I was so shocked by her look,” a friend recalled to the British press. “I didn’t recognize her.”
She even gave up her once proud name, sometimes introducing herself to new acquaintances only as “G.”
“Where are you living, Ghislaine?” the friend asked. “I lost touch with you.” Maxwell suddenly went blank. “Oh,” she replied, “a little bit everywhere.”
December 2014: Virginia Roberts Giuffre filed a motion in the Southern District of Florida describing Maxwell as Epstein’s “primary coconspirator and participant in his sexual abuse and sex trafficking scheme.”
Maxwell made a huge mistake, issuing an “urgent” statement to the media dismissing the claims as “obvious lies.” That allowed Giuffre, to sue Maxwell for defamation in federal court in New York, a lawsuit “widely viewed as a vessel for Epstein’s victims to expose the scope of Epstein’s crimes,” according to the Miami Herald.
Maxwell affirmed her innocence with fury, at one point of her testimony banging her fists on the table. She also, according to charges filed by the DOJ SDNY, committed two counts of perjury.
2019: when the SDNY reopened the criminal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine was far away, living the high life.
She met with her friend Prince Andrew in Buckingham Palace, and participated in “Cash & Rocket”, an annual charity road rally. Between races of the rally, she joined the super rich in attending a Masquerade Ball in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as a White dinner at La Reserve in Geneva and the Red party at the Yacht Club de Monaco.
Those were to be her last reported events. Cash & Rocket scrub Maxwell’s photo from its website once Epstein was arrested and the scandal assaulted the headlines again.
On July 6, 2019, Epstein was arrested by federal agents at Teterboro Airport, arriving from Paris. The FBI raided his mansion, and charged him with sex trafficking of minors.
“Epstein’s pimp girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, a very well-connected Brit socialite cannot just walk free,” actress Ellen Barking tweeted the day after Epstein’s arrest. “This woman is his pimp. She pilots planes [sic] to and from the island. I know because she told me.”
Maxwell again went into hiding, unreachable during legal proceedings. It surfaced in December 2019 that Maxwell was among the people under FBI investigation for facilitating Epstein’s crimes.
She was faced with a tabloid frenzy even bigger than the one that accompanied the death of her father. She again uprooted herself and tried to start over in Manchester-by-the-Sea, a quiet village 30 miles north of Boston, she lived for a time in the $3 million, five-bedroom colonial home of Scott Borgerson, CEO of CargoMetrics, a hedge fund investment company involved in maritime data analytics.
Since Epstein was found dead in jail, last August, she is reported to have moved 36 times, out of fear for her safety. Credible Death threats arrived by social media, email, phone, text, and postal service. It began in earnest with Epstein’s arrest, multiplied with his death, and accelerated in the months that followed. They soon became a routine part of her life.
She hired a professional security firm, with operatives that are veterans of intelligence and law enforcement agencies.
This photoshopped photo of Maxwell surfaced last year to mislead the public into thinking she was in Los Angeles. Frank Report was the first to report the photo a fake, a story that went viral.
“Where in the world was Ghislaine Maxwell? Everyone, it seemed, had a theory, each wilder than the last. She was said to be hiding deep beneath the sea in a submarine, which she was licensed to pilot. Or she was lying low in Israel, under the protection of the Mossad, the powerful intelligence agency with whom her late father supposedly tangled. Or she was in the FBI witness protection program, or ensconced in luxury in a villa in the South of France, or sunning herself naked on the coast of Spain, or holed up in a high-security doomsday bunker belonging to rich and powerful friends whose lives might implode should Maxwell ever reveal what she knows—all the dirty secrets of the dirty world that she and Epstein shared.”
(Vanity Fair – Jul 3, 2020)
Maxwell remained at large, beyond the reach of attorneys, tabloid reporters, and a 10,000-pound reward from The Sun in London.
“It’s a little bit like Elvis—you get lots of reports but they’re hard to verify,” a victim attorney said in May.
She was periodically said to have been spotted around the world, usually in places where she was not. Reporters scoured the globe. Some said she was in Russia trying to get a Oligarch to protect her. Others pointed to Israel or Brazil, China, Singapore, the Middle East, England.
She was “both everywhere and nowhere,” lamented UK’s The Guardian.
On August 2019, she was apparently photographed eating a burger and fries in the Cahuenga Boulevard, in the San Fernando Valley. She held The Book of Honor: The Secret Lives and Deaths of CIA Operatives. Given Ghislaine and her father Robert’s alleged ties to Intelligence Services, this choice does not seem accidental.
Papers were running out of incredible stories to account for her disappearance. A bizarre new theory emerged she could be hiding in a submarine which – as we saw – was not downright impossible, since she DID have a license to pilot underground vehicles.
On July 2nd 2020, Maxwell was arrested by the FBI and NYPD in the small New England town of Bradford, New Hampshire. It is situated at driving distance of the NYSD. They finally found her in a luxurious four-bedroom, 4,365-square-foot home on a wooded lot, called Tuckedaway.
Ghislaine Maxwell was charged with six federal crimes: luring and enticement of minors, sex trafficking of children and perjury.
The crimes took place between 1994 and 1997, the years of her “intimate relationship with Epstein,” when she “assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minor girls.”
One of the three unnamed victims was “as young as 14 years old when they were groomed and abused by Maxwell and Epstein, both of whom knew that certain victims were in fact under the age of 18.”
FBI assistant director William F. Sweeney Jr. described Maxwell as “one of the villains of this investigation,” who had “slithered away to a gorgeous property” in New Hampshire, where she was “continuing to live a life of privilege while her victims live with the trauma inflicted upon them years ago.”
“I am optimistic about my future,” she said in 1997, “and believe things will continue to improve for me as time passes.”
Now, according to sources close to her, “I don’t think [Ghislaine] sees there is a future,” came the reply.
If found guilty of all charges, Maxwell could face a prison sentence of 35 years. She denies the accusations, and has pleaded not guilty to all six charges.
She will await trial locked up in the Metropolitan Detention Center, in Brooklyn. A dreadful prison that is as removed from her previous “silver spoon” upbringing as it’s possible in the US. Hard times.
She used to be a larger than life character, who once hosted a dinner for NY socialites on ‘the fine art of giving a blow job’. But then, she really blew it.
A report from a source familiar with the Metropolitan Detention Center gives a glum picture of Ghislaine Maxwell’s present conditions.
She is in the women’s section and believed to be confined to a solitary cell. Because of the past history of the MDC, it is not impossible to suspect that Ghislaine could be having sexual relations with one or more corrections officers, either male or female. Her available wealth would permit her to buy some privileges directly from the corrections officers who could smuggle in items for her.
MDC has a history of guards, male and female, enjoying sex with prisoners and smuggling in everything from alcohol to cell phones to drugs. While she is not enjoying what anyone would call a privileged life, and is most likely [because of Covid protocols] confined to her cell, dank and cold [in summer] perhaps as much as 23-24 hours per day and possibly getting only one hot meal per day, our source says, with her wealth and talent to charm, if there is any privilege, any opportunity, any luxury to enjoy at MDC, she is enjoying it.
Of course, she is probably under near-constant surveillance, for no guard wants to go to prison for letting her get murdered or commit suicide – as did her former lover Epstein. It is not known how frequently she is meeting with lawyers in special rooms set aside for the purpose. But an MDC source tells Frank Report that prison officials are known to eavesdrop on those conversations with lawyers and defendants and do so on high profile cases. Whether they report to the prosecution what they learn is unknown.
In the end, Maxwell has a hard road to hoe and will remain in the brutal and unsanitary MDC until she stands trial or makes a plea deal or dies. The possibility of additional charges other than those currently charged against her – for hebephilia crimes in the last century – remain a possibility.
The late Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted hebephile, a person who has urges for post pubescent but under the age of consent children. Is Ghislaine one also? And are there others, famous and prominent men of power who have indulged as Jeffrey and allegedly Ghislaine have done?
The ace in the hole for her, obviously, is, if she has info on other prominent hebephiles that the DOJ for its own partisan or PR reasons might like to selectively prosecute, she can trade that info for a lenient sentence and hopefully not be murdered for doing so.
Her former lover, Jeffrey Epstein, might have committed suicide, as the Mainstream Media and the US Govt. urges you to believe, but there are some who find the coincidences, cameras being off, bones broken indicating he was strangled, guards happening to fall asleep as they were assigned to watch the most famous prisoner in the world, such that that it just might cause reasonable people to doubt the official narrative a little more than the corporate media and prison officials would wants us to doubt.
The same fate might befall Ghislaine and we may never know just what she did. Whether her crimes were confined to herself and Epstein or whether there was a vast network of hebephiles joining in – or – in fairness to her – she is innocent as she claims, something that a trial, if she makes it to trial, might help us determine.

Looks like the rates have been continuing to grow linearly for the last two weeks nationwide. Right now about 2500-4500 people are dying each day due to CV-19. That is roughly one 9/11 each day. Total US deaths exceed 35,000 and it is really not clear to me that we have reached the peak based on the CDC/ John's Hopkins data sets.
Total cases are at 700K and we are adding 100K every 3 days. That puts us on track to hit 1 Million cases before the end of the month.
Sweden has been running an interesting "herd effect" experiment where they have no shelter in place and everything is open. People, of course, are being cautious and wearing masks, but the comparison to Denmark and Finland (their next door neighbor) shows pretty well the comparison in approaches. Sweden has 1400 deaths compared to Denmark's 380 and Finland's 82.
Florida reopened their beaches last night and they look like normal. So, it looks like we are about to run the same experiment as Sweden. Should be interesting to see if we get a step function up in FL cases in 2 weeks or so. No clue what to expect.
I really do not have an opinion on what is the best approach right now. I am pretty sure that opening up Wyoming is VERY low risk, but it seems like opening up NY, SF, Houston, Boston, Miami, LA, etc may not end well.
*****. Economy Update (Not Stock Market)
We added 5.2 Million new Unemployment Claims this week. Everyone was celebrating that the number was lower than last week, but the problem was that the ancient COBOL systems were down for good Friday and so that only was 4 days of processing claims. So, the daily rate actually has continued to increase. We are running about 1 Million new claims per day. EVERY DAY. And that has no reason to abate. We are over 22 Million now and will likely be over 28 Million by the end of this week and over 34 Million by the end of April. I just read a Forbes article that makes a case that we are at 18% total unemployment. At the worst point in the Great Depression, we hit 24%. So, there is a good chance we will exceed the worst levels in American History.
30% of renters did not pay rent for March. Businesses are expected to stop paying rent on commercial property starting in 13 days on May 1. This will start putting a lot of pressure on the real estate sector and could lead to the first round commercial and consumer foreclosures and forbearance. June will probably be a bloodbath.
The PPP small business loans are fully depleted. Apparently of all the businesses that applied, only 3% were funded and now there is no more money. Interestingly, most hedge funds were able to secure forgivable PPP loans.
Only a small percentage of people got stimulus checks. I found out this week that foreign nationals that worked briefly in the US in 2019 got checks.
Airlines were bailed out this week and rewarded for overleveraging for the last 10 years to buy back stocks. 2/3 of the bail out is just a grant - free money. 20 Billion dollars.
Hedge Funds have been largely bailed out either through the Fed pumping the market back up or through direct bail outs. The direct bail outs for hedge funds are the equivalent of $12,000 per US citizen. This is a bail out for the top sliver of wealthy that were over exposed in hedge funds and now will be solvent while the rest of the country suffers.
There is talk of more legislation for more stimulus dollars. Early reports are that this round will get more resistance and will not pass as quickly, if ever.
The first bread lines are starting to emerge.
**** Stock Market Update There is only one real story here. The Fed is illegally buying stocks through brokers. They literally gave themselves permission to create unlimited money with no reserves and use this to buy stocks. Look at the last hour of trading on SPY on Friday. That is absolutely market manipulation.
So, at this point, the Nasdaq is only 15% down from all time highs. AMZN and NFLX hit all time highs this week. S&P and DOW are not far behind at 20% down. That is barely correction territory.
I see a lot of FOMO (fear of missing out) traffic online this week. People are going all in because they do not want to miss out on this historic V shaped recovery. I hear about people buying "YOLO" calls with their stimulus check while chanting the mantra "stocks only go up". For now, maybe they are right. Maybe the Fed keeps printing through the election to make sure we get another 4 years with Donny. I can't help but wonder if we can continue to flood the market with $30-50 Billion per day of stock purchases. And who owns all these stocks now?
I am sure as hell not ready to bet against the Fed, but I am also not willing to enter this completely manipulated casino.
So, all I am doing is daily swing trades. I make 2-3 trades per day after I see an index consolidation and then literally flip a coin, buy a 3X bear or bull index and quickly set a stop limit. If it goes the wrong way, I lose $50. If it goes right, some of these rallies or drops generate a quick $1000-2000 and then I am out. I am averaging about $1000 per day doing this and that's fine for now and something you can only do with big volatility like we have right now.
******** So Cantyoudobetter, What's Next ?
No one has a clue. I am taking my cues from Warren Buffet right now. He says: “Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful” I see a lot of people out there being short sighted and greedy. The temperature this week is:
The virus thing was a hoax or maybe almost over
The market is going to the moon
We will be back to normal very soon
Don't miss out
What I see is a nearsighted society that can only focus on one thing at a time. Everyone can only see the virus problem and think that once it is behind us, we are going to be bigger and better.
I can't see it. All I see is 28 Trillion of debt. Rich people getting bailed out for making risky bets. Small Business bankruptcies. Poorly run businesses getting rewarded for running their businesses poorly. Record unemployment that will not come back quickly. Consolidation of our economy into a few mega businesses.
I wonder what the unemployed masses will do in a few months when they realize all the money went to the rich and left the rest of society with a huge hole.
Anyhow. Sorry this is so negative. It seems like we should be happy that things are getting back to normal. I just don't see it.

Depression is gambling.

Depression is a real mother fucker. I had a few really awesome months going since March, and the dogs and work I do with them in my life keep me feeling like a person, but my demon is no God damn joke. my demon is so expensive it buys bottle service for cocaine. I am talking about gambling, or sports in my case.
A quick PSA that I have pertains to casinos opening again and also for myself, sports betting is finally legal in person in Detroit. Isolation made it easy to not think about betting sports. I honestly thought I was over it because it was just so easy. No sports? Nothing to bet online for me... I'm not an idiot who would play online casino (that's sarcasm - the sports book has a better house take than at blackjack). Well, it only took a mention of a new sports book and this and that when simply listening to the radio going to work with the dogs... Hadn't thought about sports in months. I took in a homeless vet and her dog for two months. I saved up 30k. I took in a 4th rescue dog. I got a new van. I got all new camping gear for the year.. I mean literally, having that feeling where life is exciting again.....
And then what the royal fuck? I am suddenly driving 38 miles downtown to a casino I've never been to. I haven't gone to a casino in ten years. I'm all online. But here I am with 15k cash going down to bet... I get down, they make me register because of any bet over 2k, and they assign me the number "007", like they don't know what they are doing. But it's really my customer number... So I bet $4k on Braves ML and then they have these machines so I put $100 ok Vegas NHL. I go home, start making a fire doing some stuff outside, I'm saying I'm not going to check the score... Well I start into a beer and then I suddenly here the game is postponed... Ugh... Vegas was a winner, so my $100 bet just won $120! What a start lol. So I call the sports book manager as I had his cell and I asked to roll the $4k bet to the Boston Red Sox as dogs at home on Friday (fyi they won 5-3).. Well, he informs me because of compliance that I have to come down... I say I can't as I'm an hr away.
So, I won $120..good enough... You would think. But, with the millions I have bet over the last decade online, there was a rush going into the casino. I can't lie. Of course, you know what happens next, right? I got in my car and I drove down there as I was only half-way between the nightly card of games.. I get down there. Cash my winner and then I add and I put it on the Raptors -1... LoL. Well, some of you know the feeling of a $4500 bet that is over 2 minutes into a sporting event. It's a rare and amazing when you're on the correct side, but from the tip off I absolutely knew I shit my pants.
I left in the first quarter and went home. I had those thoughts of death that I hadn't had in months. Not that I want to kill myself, but that I just want the feelings of worthlessness to stop.
Unfortunately, the next day did not get better as I did the incorrect thing and did not take a few days off (or quit then). I had someone cover my work shift and I went downtown this time and placed a $8k bet on the Jazz ML at +114.
I think at this point I had hit at least 10 in a row (losses that is LOL). That's how it has always been for 20 years and I think it's why I am so sick. I've had sick runs of discipline where I have run 5k to 100k+ betting 2-5 percent of my roll, I a month... So many times. Countless times making 10x my starting bankroll really quickly mmm. And then, it's always the case where it's a small bad loss or something so dumb, and it will be a cascade of night-night money. It's a sickness for sure.
I don't even really know the point of my post and it's long and probably poorly worded with lots of errors. I am not going to proof read anything I post. Maybe if I have a point it will come out below. I don't think anyone knows me here but I am a very serious compulsive gambler. I think I might be protecting my ego by giving this low number, but I would say I have racked up between 150-200k in losses net over the last 20 years, but the majority coming within the last 4 or so... As gambling escalates. If I am honest with myself, if that's the number I think, it's probabaly like $300,00. It's a blessing that I never have made a lot of money - - like literally never more than $25k a year. But an initial bank roll of 5 figures and getting it up there, I was rolling over about a million a month in sports bets.
Losing money sucks, but it is the one thing that you can repair from gambling. What can't be fixed is your brain. You will never, ever look at life the same once you have placed a large bet or lost control. You will never find joy in the same things in life. I can hardly remember the names of some of my college friends I partied with, but I remember a Stanford missed 20 yrd field goal in the first half of some meaningless game to cover my spread (Stanford crushed the game spread by double digits, but failed to cover first half of course). Do you not see the problem? Why the fuck do I or would I want to remember that? Gambling is worse than drugs in many ways. Currently, I am slowly, painfully, and expensively being killed by gambling. If I was a junkie, someone, literally anyone would see my pain and help me, but as a gambler, this pain is internal and so terrifying that we do almost everything to hide it. And then we spend our days going to work, thinking about how we can die, saving up money... Only to feel okay again months later and to relapse.
I hope I can help someone young getting into gambling to understand that the danger is not money really... But it is the damage to your brain. You will hate yourself, you will hate life, etc...there are lots of better reads on the science of gambling and what it does to your brain chemistry. It simply is not publicized more because gambling is a huge business and for some cities (like Detroit), it's how they continue to tax the poor and keep the city going. Americans are also poorly educated on odds, math, and reality. And even when we understand odds, we are often brainwashed by capitalism to think we can be one of those antedotacle stories where we strike it rich. It is all just another way to transfer wealth from the poor to the rich. People with money DO NOT Gamble. If they do, they lose. If Charles Barkley and John Daly and Michael Jordan can't make money betting sports, then how the fuck do us average Joe's come up with the belief that we can make money? I've got a lot of stories, so we can always shoot the shit of how it can get worse.
If you're young and you like sports and gambling, you should stay straight as an arrow and you should get into the casino and bookmaking industry. Make some money yourself and maybe you can establish yourself enough that you can also help out those customers that truly need it.
As much as I want the stacks of 100s I blew the last 48hrs back, I would gladly sacrifice the money to bypass the months of hell I'm going to have to go through again as I try once again to kill this demon.
